Valtellina Superiore DOCG - Sassella - Nino Negri

A red wine from Nino Negri, made from Nebbiolo, known locally as Chiavennasca, grown on the terraced vineyards of Sassella. It has an intense garnet colour. The nose shows ripe red fruit such as cherry and plum, floral notes, sweet spice and a subtle mineral vein. On the palate it is robust yet elegant, with fine tannins and well-integrated acidity, leading to a long, persistent finish. It suits grilled or braised red meats, game and aged cheeses.
