Valtellina Superiore DOCG Sassella Nino Negri

A red wine expressing Nebbiolo, known locally as Chiavennasca, grown on the historic terraces of Sassella in the Valtellina Superiore denomination. Nino Negri interprets the rocky terrace terroir with a wine that combines strength and elegance. It is intense garnet red. The nose is rich and complex, with ripe red fruit such as cherry and plum, floral accents, sweet spice and a subtle mineral note. On the palate it is robust yet elegant, with fine tannins and well-integrated acidity, evolving to a long, persistent finish. It suits grilled or braised red meats, game and aged cheeses.
