Varnelli Anice is an aniseed liqueur from the Marche region of Italy, with a dry, firm flavour built entirely on anise.
It is traditionally added in small amounts to coffee, where it lifts the taste without changing it. It is just as at home in the kitchen, in sweet and savoury dishes, or spooned over ice cream, fruit and sorbets.
It can be served at room temperature or well chilled, neat, or used in cocktails and long drinks.
