Varnelli dell'Erborista Amaro (50cl)

An Italian amaro from the Varnelli family, made by cold infusion of herbs, roots and other botanicals in neutral alcohol. Key ingredients include gentian, rhubarb and bitter orange. It has a natural amber colour, an intensely herbal nose with mountain root and citrus notes, and a palate that opens with moderate sweetness before a progressive bitter intensity. It is suited to serving after meals, neat or over ice, or in cocktails.
