This is a 15-year-old rum from the Caroni distillery in Trinidad, bottled by Velier from the 1998 vintage.
It is made from Trinidadian molasses and aged entirely in Trinidad. Caroni was known for heavy, high-ester rums, which were an important part of the Royal Navy's rations. The label is a faithful reproduction of the original Caroni bottles of the 1940s.
