A white wine from Tuscany produced by the historic Melini winery, celebrating Vernaccia di San Gimignano, the first Italian wine to receive DOC recognition in 1966 and later DOCG. The "Le Grillane" vines grow on land with a unique microclimate and soil suited to the grape.
It is bright straw yellow with greenish reflections. The nose is elegant and complex, with white-fleshed fruit such as apple and pear, floral accents, light minerality, almond and aromatic herbs. On the palate it is well balanced, with integrated acidity, fruity and floral flavours, freshness, long persistence and a characteristic mineral, slightly bitter finish.
