Very Olde St. Nick Cask Strength Harvest Rye Whiskey (75cl)

Very Olde St. Nick Cask Strength Harvest Rye is a straight rye whiskey from Preservation Distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky, bottled uncut and unfiltered at cask strength. It is the autumn edition of the Very Olde St. Nick rye series. The barrels rest through one additional long, hot summer in the warehouse before they are emptied, and the whiskey comes from the brand's older stocks, said to be at least five summers old. It is bottled in batches of one to three barrels, so the strength moves between roughly 114 and 119 proof from one bottling to the next. The nose brings cinnamon, baking spices, barrel char and brown sugar. The palate is led by rye spice with a silky texture, and the finish is long, with white pepper and oak.
