Nirvana is a 17 year old wheated bourbon from Kentucky, part of the small Very Olde St. Nick range. Wheated means that wheat, rather than rye, is the secondary grain in the mash bill. That gives a gentler, sweeter and less spicy character than a standard bourbon. Long maturation adds deep caramel, dried fruit and mellow oak. It is best enjoyed neat.
