Veuve Clicquot Cuvée Saint Petersbourg Champagne

Cuvée Saint Petersbourg is a Champagne from the Reims house of Veuve Clicquot. It is named after the Russian city, a nod to the house's early nineteenth-century exports of its champagnes to Russia. Pinot Noir leads the blend and gives structure and intense aromas. Chardonnay adds white-fleshed fruit and light floral notes, while a small share of Pinot Meunier brings fresh red-fruit accents. In the glass it is bright gold with a fine, persistent bead. The nose shows ripe fruit, sweet spice and a touch of toasted brioche. The palate is creamy, with lively acidity that carries a long finish.
