Veuve d'Argent Brut Bio

Veuve d'Argent Brut Bio is an organic sparkling wine from Louis Bouillot, made from Airen grown organically in southern France and certified organic by Ecocert. Airen is an old Spanish variety, long the country's most planted white grape, and it has proved well suited to sparkling wine. The base wine is made from organic grapes, then goes through its second fermentation in tank and rests for a further three months. Residual sugar is 10 to 12 g/l. The colour is bright pale gold with fine, persistent bubbles. The nose offers apricot, almond, acacia blossom and a touch of white pepper. The palate is crisp, elegant and firm, and a gentle fruit sweetness leads to a dry, harmonious finish. It suits an aperitif or starters of shellfish or fish.
