Vietti Barbera d'Alba Tre Vigne 2020

A red Barbera from Vietti, made from 100% Barbera from vineyards in Monforte, Castiglione Falletto and La Morra, with vines aged 25 to 40 years on generally calcareous and clay soils. Fermentation lasts about two weeks in stainless steel tanks with daily pump-overs, followed by malolactic fermentation and 12 to 15 months of ageing in a combination of barriques, large oak casks and stainless steel tanks. It has a bright ruby colour, with mature cherry and plum aromas and a hint of vanilla. The palate balances freshness, fruit and structure, with a rounded finish and a discreet oak character. It suits charcuterie, pasta, vegetables, soups, veal, pork or chicken.
