A Barolo DOCG from Livia Fontana, made from Nebbiolo.
The nose brings red cherry and faded rose, with earthy notes, a light tobacco scent and sweet spices. The palate is dry and vertical, supported by good acidity and well-defined tannins that give solid structure without aggression; freshness guides the drinking, while the finish leaves savoury traces and light memories of evolved red fruit.
It is best served around 16-18 C in a large glass, after generous aeration, and pairs with braised meats, roast meats, grilled meats, aged cheeses, mushrooms or truffle.
