Vin Santo del Chianti DOC - Fattoria dei Barbi (37.5cl)

Vin Santo del Chianti DOC from Fattoria dei Barbi is a sweet wine made mainly from Trebbiano and Malvasia grapes, dried on racks before fermentation and maturation. This 375ml bottle has an intensely golden colour with amber to topaz reflections. The nose offers dried apricot, figs, chestnut honey and a hint of toasted almond, with sweet spices such as vanilla and cinnamon. On the palate it balances sweetness and acidity, with fruit and spice returning through a long, persistent finish. It can be enjoyed alone or with traditional desserts, blue cheeses or foie gras.
