This American single malt from Virginia Distillery Company is made in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia from 100% malted barley. It is bottled at 46.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky matures in ex-bourbon barrels, then is finished in French Calvados casks, Virginia cider barrels and Laird's Apple Brandy barrels.
It is typically described as having honeysuckle on the nose, followed by baked apple, cinnamon spice and soft oak on the palate. The texture is round and warming, with orchard fruit sweetness balanced by malt and gentle spice.
