Brewer's Coalition Goose Island Bourbon County Stout Cask Finish is an American single malt from Virginia Distillery Co., made from 100% malted barley. It is the second Brewer's Coalition edition, bottled at 50% ABV, or 100 proof, in a 700ml bottle.
The whisky was aged for more than five years in ex-bourbon barrels, then finished in Goose Island Bourbon County Brand Stout barrels, which brings the brewery collaboration into its maturation.
Aromas of rich mocha, banana bread and honeyed nougat lead. The palate adds malty beer and a hint of cinnamon, and the finish is lingering molasses.
