Courage & Conviction Sherry Cask is an American single malt from Virginia Distillery Co, made from 100% malted barley and sold in a 75cl bottle. It was aged for over 6 years in first-fill sherry casks. The distillery points to Virginia's hot summers and cool winters as the reason the whisky matures faster than it would in Scotland. The name comes from a saying of the late founder, Dr. George G. Moore: "Have the courage of your conviction." The aromas are golden raisins, lemon zest and apricot, alongside honeyed baklava, fig, cinnamon and milk chocolate.
