Virginia Distillery Co. – Courage & Conviction The Draftsmen

Courage & Conviction The Draftsmen is an American single malt from Virginia Distillery Co., made in Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains from 100% malted barley. It is a tribute to George Moore, Dr Jim Swan and Harry Cockburn, the visionaries behind the distillery's foundation. The whisky is a marriage of selected casks: ex-bourbon, cuvée and sherry. It is non-chill filtered and of natural colour, with the strength varying by barrel. The nose offers toasted almond, honeycomb and dried apricot. The palate brings caramel, baking spice and red fruit compote, and the finish is long and warming, with dark chocolate, oak tannin and candied orange peel.
