Virginia Distillery Co. – Port Cask Finished American Single Malt Whisky (46%)

A port cask finished malt whisky from Virginia Distillery Co., at 46% (92 proof). It is made from 100% malted barley and combines American single malt distilled on site in Virginia with aged Scotch malt whisky. The whisky is finished in Port casks for a minimum of 12 months, which adds depth and complexity. The nose shows dried fruit and raisins, with vanilla and barrel spice. On the palate there are hints of toffee, cocoa and toasted oak, leading to a soft finish.
