Port Cask Reserve is an American single malt from Virginia Distillery Co, in a 70cl bottle. It is made from 100% malted barley.
The whisky spends years in first-fill ex-bourbon casks before being finished in tawny port casks from Portuguese bodegas, together with port-style wine casks from Virginia.
On the nose it is described as honeycomb, walnuts and gingerbread. The palate brings bright lemon, red berries, soft smoke and cocoa.
