This is an American single malt from Virginia Distillery Co., made from 100% malted barley and bottled at 50% (100 proof) in a 70cl bottle. It is a collaboration with North Coast Brewing Co.
The whisky was aged for over five years in ex-bourbon barrels, then finished in eight Old Rasputin Stout barrels. It is a limited edition.
The nose is dark chocolate, roasted coffee beans and vanilla, with malted barley sweetness and dried fruit. On the palate there is chocolate-covered espresso, caramel, toffee and baking spices. The finish is medium to long, with chocolate and coffee bitterness.
