Virginia Distillery Company Cabernet Cask Finished is an American single malt made from 100% malted barley, in a 70cl bottle at 46.5% (93 proof).
It was aged for several years in first-fill bourbon barrels, then finished in a range of Cabernet casks, including Cabernet Sauvignon barrels from France and California.
The aromas are described as black cherry, cedar, apricot and soft smoke, with flavours of blackberry, plum, candied ginger and rich chocolate.
