Virginia Distillery Courage & Conviction Sherry Cask (75cl, 46%)

Courage & Conviction Sherry Cask is an American single malt distilled, matured and bottled at the Virginia Distillery Co. in Lovingston, in Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains. It is made from 100% malted barley, aged for a minimum of four years and bottled at 46% ABV in a 75cl bottle. The whisky draws on three sherry cask types, Pedro Ximenez, Fino and Oloroso, from Jerez in Spain. It is of natural colour and non-chill-filtered. The nose is honeycomb, dried apricot, sugared almonds and lemon zest. The palate brings hazelnut, warm leather and toffee, and the finish is caramel sweetness with gentle baking spice.
