This Vital Spark single malt was bottled by Meadowside Blending to mark 15 years of its collaboration with the German importer Alba Import. Founders Donald and Andy Hart chose a rum cask, where the heavily peated whisky matured for the full 15 years.
It is bottled at a cask strength of 54.6% ABV in a 50cl bottle, from batch 10, without added colour and without chill-filtration.
The cask brings maple syrup and bacon to the nose, with salty liquorice, forest honey, dried figs and lychee on the palate.
