Vite Colte Villata Roero Arneis DOCG (375cl)

Villata is a dry white wine from the Vite Colte winery, made from Arneis in the Roero area of lower Piedmont. The grapes are picked by hand, usually in early September, from parcels at 150 to 300 metres on soils rich in sand and fine clay. The bunches are destemmed and cold-macerated for a few hours, then pressed softly and fermented in stainless steel at 16 to 18°C for about ten days. The wine rests a few months in bottle before release. The nose shows peach, yellow apple and apricot, white linden blossom, aromatic herbs and a hint of almond and hazelnut. The palate is dry, soft and harmonious with light savouriness, and a long finish with a slightly bitter aftertaste.
