Von Payne Black Blended Whiskey (45%)

Von Payne Black is a three-year-old American blended whiskey infused with natural black currant and bottled at 45% ABV. It has a deep red colour and is poured through a sculpted gargoyle spout. Black currant was effectively banned from cultivation in the United States for much of the 20th century, and the federal ban was not fully lifted until 2003. This whiskey is built around the berry. The nose is complex black currant over naturally sweet whiskey. The palate is slightly sweet and slightly tart, with a warm kick, and the finish is long and smooth.
