W.D. O'Connell Single Malt PX Series Batch 01 is an Irish single malt from W.D. O'Connell Whiskey Merchants, made from 100% malted barley and triple distilled. It is a limited batch release, bottled at 50% without added colour or chill-filtering.
The series is built around Pedro Ximenez sherry casks, which add depth and sweetness to the malt.
The nose offers raisins, figs and dark honey, with caramel and ripe plums. The palate is full and syrupy, with dates, toffee and dark chocolate over gentle spice and oak. The finish is long and rich, with dried fruit and warm sweetness.
