W.L. Weller Full Proof (57%)

W.L. Weller Full Proof is a wheated bourbon, made with wheat in place of rye in the style of the recipe developed by William Larue Weller. It is bottled at 114 proof (57%), the same strength at which it went into the barrel. It is non-chill filtered, so the natural oils and flavours from distillation and ageing stay in the bottle, and it may look cloudy when cold. The nose offers vanilla, dark cherries and caramel. On the palate, caramel and toasted oak sit in balance. The finish is long, with crème brûlée and chocolate.
