Waqar Pisco (40%)

Waqar is a Chilean pisco made by Pisquera Tulahuén from hand-grown Muscat of Alexandria and Muscat Rose grapes, cultivated in the Tulahuén valley at the foot of the Andes. It is distilled in small batches in copper stills at 40%, with no ageing in wood and no added sugar or artificial flavourings. The nose is clean, with white fruit, citrus and blossom such as orange flower, along with rose and lychee, and a subtle hint of violet. On the palate it is round yet dry, with a soft texture and the fruit of the nose, ending with a slight vegetal or peppery note and an elegant, fresh finish.
