Waxhouse Milk and Honey STR Red Wine Cask No.008 (70cl, 53.9%)

This is a single malt from the Milk and Honey distillery in Israel, bottled by Waxhouse Whisky as edition No.008. The spirit was filled in December 2019 and bottled in May 2023 at three years old, after maturing in a first fill STR cask. Israel's hot climate matures whisky far quicker than the same cask would in Scotland. It is bottled at 53.9% in a 70cl bottle, with natural colour and without chill filtration. Only 325 bottles were released. The official notes give cola and baked fruit on the nose. Dark chocolate, kola cubes, cloves and shortbread lead the palate, and the finish brings tobacco, redcurrant jelly and nutmeg.
