This is batch 4 of Wee Mongrel, a blended Scotch whisky bottled by Little Brown Dog at 56.2% in a 70cl bottle. The youngest whisky in the blend has reached 22 years.
The whisky comes from the Edrington Group and was fully matured in first-fill Pedro Ximenez and refill Oloroso sherry casks. This edition was meant to be the last, as all the casks bought for the blend are now empty.
It is described as a sherry bomb in which the sherry does not take over.
