Weller 12 Year Old is a twelve-year-old wheated bourbon bottled at 45% ABV. The name honours William Larue Weller, a Kentucky pioneer credited with creating the first wheated bourbon, and the wheat in the mash bill shapes its flavour.
The nose offers almond, toasted corn and creamy vanilla with a light minty freshness. On the palate the wheat leads, alongside toasted wood, caramel, cinnamon and cherries. The finish is long, with dark chocolate, wood and a lasting sweetness.
