Weller Antique 107 Single Barrel #28 x Melody Whisky Bar (70cl, 53.5%)

A single barrel bottling of Weller Antique 107, a wheated Kentucky straight bourbon from the W.L. Weller brand of Buffalo Trace Distillery. Barrel 28 was selected in collaboration with Melody Whisky Bar & Lounge in London, and the bourbon is bottled at 53.5% ABV, or 107 proof, in a 70cl bottle. The label was originally called Old Weller Antique, or OWA, and it is nicknamed Baby Pappy because it shares a wheated mash bill with Pappy Van Winkle. The nose is fresh vanilla, toffee, floral sweetness and golden honey. The palate is silky and full-bodied, with peach, mango, caramelised sugar and rich vanilla. The finish is warming, with sweet oak, fudge and ripe fruit.
