Weller Full Proof is a wheated Kentucky straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, in a 750ml bottle. It is bottled at 57% ABV (114 proof), the same strength at which it went into the barrel, so no water is added to bring it down.
Wheat takes the place of rye as the secondary grain. The bourbon is non-chill-filtered, which can leave a slight haze when it is cold. It was first released in June 2019 as a limited annual bottling.
The nose brings vanilla, dark cherry and caramel. On the palate, caramel is balanced with toasted oak, and the long finish suggests crème brûlée and chocolate.
