West Cork Distillers Garnish Island Gin (46%)

Garnish Island is a dry gin from West Cork Distillers, bottled at 46% and named after the small island in Bantry Bay, off Glengarriff, on Ireland's south-west coast. The gin uses botanicals that grow on the island. Alongside juniper, it contains hibiscus, iris root, rose petals, cocoa, lemon, rosemary, thyme and a hint of spice. The cocoa brings notes of dark chocolate, and there are notes of strawberry too. It is batch distilled in a copper still and is not chill filtered, so it keeps its flavour and essential oils. It may turn slightly cloudy when mixed with tonic or ice.
