Westland – American Single Malt Wine Cask Finish (70cl)

This is an American single malt from Westland, released as part of the Cask Exploration Series and finished in wine casks. The finish draws on the winemaking history of the Pacific Northwest, using Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Washington Red Blend casks. The result balances intricate fruit notes with a rich, robust palate. On the nose there is allspice, raspberry reduction, chocolate wafer and dried rose. The palate brings chocolate raspberry turnover, Earl Grey tea and dried strawberry.
