Westland – Colere American Single Malt 2nd Edition (70cl, 50%)

Westland Colere 2nd Edition is an American single malt distilled in Seattle, Washington, bottled at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is the second release in Westland's Outpost Range, issued in May 2022 in a run of 3,000 bottles. It is made from a single barley variety, Talisman, a two-row winter barley bred with Washington State University's Bread Lab. The whiskey was matured in 58% first-fill ex-bourbon casks and 42% second-fill ISC Cooper's Reserve casks, and is non-chill filtered. The official notes give lemon curd, vanilla and raspberry on the nose, then orange marmalade, dark chocolate and forest fruits on the palate, ending on lingering orange chocolate.
