Westland – Flagship American Single Malt Whiskey (75cl, 46%)

Westland Flagship is an American single malt whiskey, distilled, matured and bottled in Seattle, Washington, at 46% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is the distillery's statement of its house style, with a minimum maturation of 40 months. It is made from six malts, among them Washington pale malt, brown malt and a heavily peated malt, fermented for 96 to 144 hours with Belgian brewer's yeast and distilled in two copper pot stills. Maturation uses new and used American oak, first-fill ex-bourbon and ex-Oloroso sherry casks. The nose is custard, marionberry compote and maple brittle. The palate brings almond nougat, crème brûlée, black tea and dried orange peel with a faint smokiness, and the finish carries oak and baking spice.
