Westland – Outpost Range Garryana 9th Edition American Single Malt (70cl, 46%)

Westland Garryana 9th Edition is an American single malt made in Seattle, Washington, and bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It belongs to the Outpost Range and draws on Quercus garryana, an oak native to the Pacific Northwest. The whisky matured for at least five years in a mix of Garry oak, first-fill ex-bourbon and ex-Oloroso sherry casks. The grain bill is Washington-grown Pale, Munich, Extra Special, Pale Chocolate and Brown malts, fermented with Belgian brewer's yeast over 96 to 144 hours. The nose is smoky and sweet, with burnt marshmallow, mocha, almond cream and biscuit. On the palate come clove, cinnamon stick and peppermint tea over the creamy texture of bread pudding.
