Watchpost is an American blended whiskey from Westland in Seattle, Washington, and the first Westland release that is not a single malt. It is bottled at 42.5% ABV.
The blend pairs 8-year-old Westland American Single Malt, matured in bourbon, Pedro Ximénez and Cooper's Select barrels, with grain and light whiskey aged in ex-bourbon barrels. It launched in Washington in August 2025, and $1 from each bottle sold there goes to the Washington Trails Association.
The nose is toasted malt, honey, dried apricot and light vanilla. The palate brings soft grain sweetness, malt biscuit, honeyed oak and a hint of raisin from the sherry, and the finish is smooth and gentle, with malt, vanilla and fading warmth.
