Westland Wine Cask Finish is an American single malt from the Cask Exploration Series, released in September 2024 in a 70cl bottle at 46% abv. The whiskey was matured in new American oak and first-fill ex-bourbon casks, then finished in Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Petit Verdot, Tempranillo and Washington red blend casks, bringing forward the winemaking history of the Pacific Northwest.
The nose offers allspice, raspberry reduction, chocolate wafer and dried rose. On the palate come chocolate raspberry turnover, Earl Grey tea and dried strawberry.
