Westward – American Single Malt (70cl)

Westward American Single Malt comes from the Westward distillery in Portland, Oregon, founded in 2004 by the people behind Aviation gin. It is made from barley grown in Oregon and Washington, fermented slowly and cool with ale yeast in the way of a beer. The beer is distilled twice in pot stills and matured in new, lightly toasted American oak casks. Fruit leads the nose, alongside cereal, creamy vanilla and a touch of sweet spice. The finish is long, with wood and sweet spice, a faint hint of smoke and dark chocolate.
