This is an 18 year old Balblair single malt from the Highlands, bottled by Whisky Craft, which was founded by Sonny Charles. It was finished in Marsala casks and bottled in 2026 at a cask strength of 54.1%.
The outturn is 254 bottles, in natural colour and without chill filtration.
The nose is bright, with citrus zest, orange peel and a gentle waxy sweetness over a savoury, meaty note, then sweet spice, star anise and soft toffee. The palate starts sweet, close to pure cane sugar, with light red fruits moving to darker berries and the Marsala influence. The finish brings a touch of char and cracked pepper, fading quickly and leaving a lingering sweetness.
