This is a nine-year-old Islay single malt from Caol Ila, bottled by Whisky Craft in 2025 at a cask strength of 58.2%. It comes from a single hogshead, is natural colour and non-chill-filtered, and was limited to 152 bottles in 70cl.
The nose has bold coastal smoke with sweet barbecue and a touch of smoked ham, while herbs and summer warmth sit in the background. The palate mixes cracked black pepper, strawberry jam and lemon zest, with pear pie and herbal peat. The finish is long, juicy and sweet, with lingering smoke, clotted cream and lemon sherbet.
