Untamed Islay is an 8 year old single malt from Islay, bottled by Whisky Craft at a cask strength of 57.3% in a 70cl bottle. The distillery is not named. The whisky was bottled in 2025 from a refill octave cask, which gave 69 bottles, with natural colour and no chill filtration.
The nose is complex and rugged, with old leather, cigar smoke and coastal notes, and sweet barbecue tones running through the peat. The palate opens with a touch of sweetness before spice and smoky barbecue flavours take hold. The finish is rich and lingering, with smoke, spice and subtle sweetness.
