This is a 10-year-old Benrinnes single malt from Speyside, bottled by WhiskyDudes at 57.6% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled on 21 August 2012 and bottled on 16 January 2023, with natural colour and no chill filtration.
The whisky matured in a hogshead and was then re-racked into a first-fill ruby port quarter cask for two years. The outturn is 155 bottles.
The nose brings demerara sugar, Haitian rum and chocolate, with a hint of fresh strawberries. On the palate come dark berries, figs, dried apricots, cherries and maple syrup, with a rich mouthfeel, light pepper and wood spice. The finish is long, with caramel toffee, biscuits and dried fruits.
