This is a single grain Scotch whisky from Girvan, bottled by WhiskyDudes at 26 years old and a cask strength of 57.6%. It was distilled on 26 September 1997 and bottled on 19 February 2024, in a 70cl bottle.
The spirit began in a hogshead and was then re-racked into a first-fill Amontillado sherry hogshead for 21 months. It is natural colour and non-chill-filtered, and 194 bottles were filled.
The nose brings honey, mandarin and caramel with a faint hint of grain glue. The palate is punchy, with cumin, blood oranges, light spices, menthol and fresh dough. The finish is long, with Szechuan pepper and lingering sweetness.
