This is a 31 year old Girvan single grain whisky from the Lowlands, bottled by WhiskyDudes in a 50cl bottle at 53.5%. It was distilled on 22 April 1991 and bottled on 27 October 2022. The whisky from a hogshead was re-racked into a first-fill Amontillado sherry quarter cask for 20 months. The outturn was 167 bottles, with natural colour and no chill filtration.
Honey, powdered sugar, pine and a slight herbal note come with a typical whiff of glue on the nose, which is syrupy and sticky. The palate is punchy, with Jaffa cakes, cumin, blood orange and menthol, and the finish brings Szechuan pepper, caramel and a pinch of condensed milk.
