A 13 year old Glenrothes single malt from Speyside, bottled by WhiskyDudes at 63.9%. It was distilled on 18 December 2009 and matured in a hogshead, then re-racked into a first-fill PX quarter cask for 23 months. Bottling took place on 16 January 2023, with natural colour and no chill filtration, giving 138 bottles.
The nose has sultanas, dried apricots, dark chocolate and a hint of furniture polish. The palate brings red berries, crème brûlée, more dark chocolate and syrupy PX, with ripe prunes towards the finish. The finish is long, with a subtle sweetness that lingers.
