This is a 14 year old blended malt from WhiskyDudes, released as The Bastard No.2 and drawn from Macallan, Highland Park and Glenrothes. It was distilled on 3 July 2009 and bottled on 14 February 2024 at 51.5% in a 70cl bottle, after a refill sherry butt was finished for over three years in a first-fill Madeira hogshead. It is natural in colour and not chill-filtered, and 303 bottles were filled.
Grassy fields and cooked vegetables mingle with a bold Madeira character, alongside hazelnut, caramel, tangerine, kumquat, stewed fruits and toffee. The finish is long and lingering.
