Whistle Pig 10 Years Old is a straight rye whiskey in a 70cl bottle, made from a mash of 100% rye.
After distillation it rested for ten years in oak. It then had a brief further spell in ex-bourbon casks, which adds to the range of aromas.
The nose opens with fruit, moves towards herbal notes and ends with mint and vanilla. The palate is round and enveloping, with toasted wood and spice, and the finish is of medium length.
